Weight loss can be a complicated matter for many, especially given the number of weight loss programs in existence today, many of which are unproven, based on fads, and in some cases, harmful .  Unfortunately, obesity is and has been, one of the fastest growing health problems in the U.S. and across most industrialized nations. It is estimated that approximately 33% of the the adult population is obese.  Of equal concern is that 15% of children older than 6 are also obese, with this percentage growing larger every year.

Complete Blood Count: wbc, rbc, hemoglobin, hematocrit, mcv, mch mean, mchc, rdw, platelets, neutrophils, lymphocytes, eosinophils, basophils.

Thyroid Panel: Total T4, T3 uptake, FTI, TSH

Lipid Panel: Cholesterol Total, HDL, LDL, Cholesterol/HDL ratio, triglycerides.

Liver Profile: Total protein, albumin, globulin, bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, LDH, AST, ALT.

Kidney Panel: BUN, creatinine, uric acid, BUN/Creatinine, eGFR

By having assessed your biomarkers, along with your weight, body measurements, and body composition results,  we are better able to pinpoint your problem and develop a plan accordingly.

The ultimate goal then,  would be for you to lose weight, lose fat, maintain or increase lean muscle mass, AND normalize your blood markers!

What About Exercise?

We can write volumes of books documenting the benefits of exercise.  In fact, we don’t have to since countless of people have done so already.  However, it is our clinical experience that for the goal of weight loss, diet and effective supplementation are the most important factors that have to be managed.  When the patient masters how to eat right for their goal AND the weight management steps we recommend are followed, lean muscle mass is maintained and fat is lost.

In our program, we include a simple exercise program that is manageable by all and easy to follow.

However, in no way does this comprise a complete exercise program.

It is our experience that as we start seeing results as a consequence of dietary changes, patients naturally begin to have more energy, feel better about themselves, have less general pain, are able to sustain more meaningful sleep, and overall, simply DO BETTER.  As such, it is during this time that patients can begin a more comprehensive exercise program that includes strength training, cardio, core, balance training, flexibility, etc.

We can help with that as well, when that time comes.

How Do I Start?

Simply call us and set up your complimentary initial 15- minute evaluation with our doctor.  This allows you to meet the doctor at no cost, as well as allowing the doctor to see if you are a candidate for our program.

If you are, you will be given specific paperwork to fill out and bring back to the office on a separate visit.  On this second visit, also, bring  relevant medical paper that you would like the doctor to review including lab work, previous diagnoses, medical history, and the like.

All paperwork must be returned to our office a minimum of 1 day prior to your scheduled appointment.  This allows the doctor to review your case file.
